The Palace Museum issued an announcement on July 23. To mark the second anniversary of the inscription of the Beijing Central Axis on the UNESCO World Heritage List, the museum is open to the public free of charge on July 27, 2026 (Monday). It is open from 8:30 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:00.
Visitors must complete real-name reservations via the official WeChat mini-program “The Palace Museum”. Reservations for general admission, the Treasure Gallery and the Clock Gallery opened at 20:00 on July 24. No on-site ticketing service is available at Duanmen Gate, the Treasure Gallery and the Clock Gallery today.
